About Regression
Therapy
Deep Memory Process was developed by Jungian analyst,
Dr. Roger Woolger who is considered to be one of the world's leading experts in regression therapy.
Unlike other regression approaches, Deep Memory Process heals by restoring consciousness to those parts of us that have been affected by trauma. Integrating Jungian Imagery, Reichian Body Awareness, Psychodrama, Gestalt, Bio/Core Energetics, Breathwork, Somatic IntegrationTM and Spiritual Psychology, Deep Memory Process doesn't merely mean going back in time. This regression therapy delves deep into the psyche, dissolving layers of unconscious mental and emotional patterns, as well as chronic physical patterns held in the body.
Many clients have experienced enormous breakthroughs with
regression therapy that years of conventional talk therapy could not
resolve. Sometimes, only a single session is necessary.
Free the Body, Heal the
Mind
A child who lives in fear of being hit or criticized may learn
to tense up or be on the alert. That fear can remain locked in
the form of chronically raised shoulders or tightening in the jaw,
chest or stomach. Likewise, a person who has been sexually abused
may freeze the pelvis or constrict the breathing in a mixture of
fear, rage or shame. When strong feelings remain unexpressed, our
muscles become tense. Whole segments of our bodies become
energetically locked, affecting the connective tissue, nerves,
organs and circulation, leaving us vulnerable to illness and
physical pain. In response, we create protective thoughts,
defensive postures and self-defeating behaviors, further fueling
our "stuckness."
Deep Memory Process frees the body, teaching it how to
express and release what it's holding. Talk therapies that access
only the mind can only go so far. For complete healing to occur,
each layer of a trauma
— mental, emotional, spiritual and physical — must be integrated.
