Frequently Asked Questions
Why Regression Therapy?
Perhaps you have thoughts or fears that seem out of context in
your life. You may feel depressed, have anxiety attacks or feel
sad and don't know why. Or you might suffer from chronic pain, or
carry distressing thoughts like "There's no one there for me "
or "I don't fit in."
Attempts to heal these thoughts by looking only at remembered
events may feel limiting and frustrating.
Childhood wounds don't always account for how awful we feel.
Often, the source of this pain can originate in our family history, sometimes from a past generation. By
accessing these memories, we can get to the root of the problem,
heal it at its source, and integrate new understandings into the
present.
Many complaints can be traced
directly to specific traumatic events. Complaints ranging from
deep depression, eating disorders and anxiety attacks, to
irritable bowel syndrome, migraine headaches, chronic
back pain, asthma, and many others can disappear
when these events are
remembered and integrated.
What's important is that
lifelong problems can shift - often in just a session or two.
Can these memories stem from "past lives?"
No one really knows for sure. All we really know is that
each of us carries within us an image that has the power to help us
heal. These images arise
spontaneously from the unconscious mind, and may or may not be
our memories. They may in fact be memories of actual events that took place generations ago in our family system. In this work, "past lives" are
looked at as metaphors that, in some way, seem to mirror our present
day conflicts. When told, they contain a key that can unlock
buried emotions and release entrenched physical patterns.
Where do these memories come
from?
Deep memories surface from the unconscious. We don't
create them or make them up. These images come to us much like
waking dreams that
help us to heal. Until we
consciously resolve and integrate them, they continue to confront us in our negative thoughts,
destructive habits and painful feelings.
